Claude Desktop’s Cowork third-party platform support lets you point Claude at any Anthropic-compatible gateway — including Concentrate — for centralized billing, observability, and access to our full model fortress.

Concentrate and Claude Desktop

Claude Desktop ships with a Cowork integration that can connect to third-party platforms. By configuring Concentrate as the gateway, every model request from Claude Desktop is routed through your Concentrate account.

Model Selection

Configure any model from Concentrate’s model fortress inside Claude Desktop’s Identity & Models section, including non-Anthropic providers.
Tip: Any model that is compatible with Claude Code can be used with Claude Desktop/Cowork. We recommend you to use models that have a High compatibility level with Claude Code.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have:
  • A Concentrate AI account with an active API key (starts with sk-cn)
  • Claude Desktop installed with Cowork available — see Anthropic’s installation guide

Setup

Open Cowork third-party platform settings

Follow Anthropic’s Install and configure Claude Cowork with third-party platforms guide to open the gateway configuration in Claude Desktop.

Configure the gateway

Fill in the gateway fields as follows:

Add models in Identity & Models

In the Identity & Models section, add any provider/model slug from Concentrate’s models endpoint, such as:
anthropic/claude-sonnet-4-6
Repeat to add as many models as you’d like.
Only enable Offer 1M-context variant for models we officially support at 1M context:
  • anthropic/claude-opus-4-6
  • anthropic/claude-opus-4-7
  • anthropic/claude-sonnet-4-6
Enabling it on other models may cause requests to fail.

Apply configuration

You can apply your configuration locally (only on your machine) or deploy it via an MDM - refer to Anthropic’s guide for detailed instructions on how to export for MDM. If you encounter any issues or quirks, feel free to contact us at support@concentrate.ai

Verify Configuration

Open a new chat in Claude Desktop, select one of the models you added, and send a quick prompt. If the response comes back successfully, your gateway is configured correctly. Usage will appear in your Concentrate dashboard in real time.

Troubleshooting

Confirm your Concentrate API key is valid and pasted in full into the Gateway API key field. The key should start with sk-cn. Ensure Gateway auth scheme is set to bearer.
Verify the Gateway base URL is exactly https://api.concentrate.ai with no trailing slash, path, or extra spaces.
  1. Confirm the model slug uses the provider/model format exactly (e.g. anthropic/claude-sonnet-4-6), not just the model name
  2. If you enabled Offer 1M-context variant, confirm the model is one of the supported 1M variants listed above
  3. Check the models endpoint to verify the slug is available on your account
