What does each BAA cover?

Both companies sign one BAA for models reached through their gateway. Aptible says its gateway "covers Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, and a range of open-weight models, all under a single BAA." On Concentrate, you sign one BAA with us, and we hold separate BAAs with each provider that serves a covered route. What happens to your prompts and responses?

This is the biggest difference after price. Aptible's documentation says every request and response is logged automatically, including prompt content and responses, and that logs are kept for 6+ years. Some teams want that record. Others don't want PHI payloads stored by another vendor.

On a Concentrate HIPAA organization, request-content logging is locked off, so prompt and response bodies are not stored. Zero data retention also stays locked on. Concentrate still keeps operational metadata (model, provider, token usage, cost, key, status and elapsed time) so you can see spend and outcomes.

Can either gateway remove PHI before it reaches the model?
